Royal Kinran Japanese Handpainted Nippon Coralene Two Handled Porcelain Decorated Vase
Japanese Nippon vase with magnificent Corleone decoration, which involved applying tiny, clear-glass beads to the surface of the piece to form a design. They magnify the colors underneath and, in the right light, actually glow.
Apricot and peach or rust colored background with extensive Coralene pink and green decor and gold highlights. Decorated with coralene encrusted glass bead decoration of pink roses and green leaves. A bulbous body hand decorated with flowers raised texture with gilt outlines. Heavily decorated on front yet moderately decorated in back. The vase has a scalloped top with gilt trim.
The double-handed gold gilt with Moriage handles and floral decorated vase is marked US Patent. NBR. 912171. Dated Feb.9.1909 and marked with Japanese chop marks with JAPAN. Due to the Japan marking, this rare unique antique is circa 1900 - 1921.
The vase is in very fine antique condition with NO chips or cracks. Minimal wear with age and shelf life. Please carefully examine the pictures as there is some minor gold trim fading as well as small scattered locations where some of the coralene came off. This vase was always handled with care and never cleaned to cause this to the vase. It may have occurred from moving the piece around on the shelves. These small spots of missing beadwork are not very noticeable due to their location within the pattens and do not take away from the striking beauty of the vase. However due to these small flaws, this vase is not priced to its true value.
It is still a wonderful addition for any collector as beautiful cabinet vase, collectors piece and focal vase.
