RARE Nippon Green Mark Horse Head Southwestern Border Decorated Humidor

Description

This auction is for a gorgeous vintage Nippon green mark tobacco humidor with a southwestern geometric design in pink, blue, rust, brown and black.  The enameled design surrounds a medallion, outlined in raised black enamel bead work, of a stunning horse, well exeucted, with wonderful detail and shading.  I recently had a tray that matched this piece, but just ran across this incredible rare piece.  There are no chips, cracks or repairs.  There are probably a few of the tiny enamel "beads" that are missing since the top border on the lid and the base are outlined with these tiny raised beads, as is the horse medallion.  This humidor measures about 5 1/2" in height to the top of the final.  Just a very rare design and subject!
