Description
A very nice handled and footed, Japanese porcelain bowl with generous gold trim and rose motif.This is a rare and wonderful example of antique hand painted decorative Nippon porcelain. It is exquisitely illustrated and finely decorated with a pair of lovely roses. Please see all of the detail photos to see the beautiful jewel decoration and to gain an appreciation of this very special antique Nippon piece. It has two gilt handles and four gilt feet that emerge from molded and sculpted leaves at the bottom. It is marked with the green wreath with 'M' which is attributed to the Morimura Brothers. The mark also reads Hand Painted and Nippon (Van Patten's Mark #47).
This exquisite and hard to find antique hand painted Nippon footed porcelain gilt serving bowl measures 7.25 inches diameter and is 4.25 inches tall to the top of handles, 3 inches to the top of the bowl.
